Books to read during the Summer!

Looking for a cute new read for the summer? Hold on to your floppy hats and sandals, here are 6 books to have fun with under the sun!

1. Local Girls by Caroline Zancan

This novel follows a girl and her two best friends who happens to come across their favorite celebrity one day at a bar and they start gushing to him about their lives. Things start brewing and feelings starts to come back from the past, allowing the girls to rethink about their lives and finally coming to realize that they aren’t very much like any other ‘local’ girl.

This novel will be out on the 30th of June. (Be on the lookout for that!)

2. To all the boys I’ve loved before by Jenny Han

This story follows a girl named Lara Jean who’s written letters to all the boys she’s ever loved but has never actually given them to the individual guys. One day the letters gets sent out to each boy and things get hectic. Having Lara Jean as an immature character made the story so hilarious and cute! You don’t want to miss this!

3. Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins

One of my absolute faves! This story is set in London and follows a girl named Isla. She’s the type of girl who gets the best grades in class and never gets into trouble. That is, until she meets the dark and mysterious Josh. This tattoed artist shows Isla his passion for art and travelling, leading her to a semester she’ll never forget.

4. The Geography of You and Me by Jennifer E. Smith

Lucy and Owen meets in an elevator. The elevator stops working. New York City’s lights are out. Got out of elevator. Spent the night under the stars. Talks about travelling. Lights come back on. That’s all you gotta know. Read it! 😉

5. I’ll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson

Noah and Jude are twins. Both loves art, one is into drawing/painting and the other fashion. The two were inseparable, three years later, it was like they never knew each other. A moving story that is guaranteed to suck you in and devour the pages. The characters are so lovable and the writing is super witty and eloquent you’ll LOVE IT! ❤

6. This is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith

Yet another JES book. Can’t you tell her books are great? A celebrity accidentally sends a local town girl an email and they start chatting online. What happens when the celebrity actually comes to her town and decides to film his next movie there? Can local town girl Ellie O’Neill cope with Graham Larkin, a person who’s always under the spotlight?
